Financing Our Future

08 August 2005

Five national unions, including the Rail Tram & Bus Union, joined together last year to commission Strategic Economics to produce a report on alternatives to the free market and Public Private Partnerships for financing Australia's growing infrastructure challenge.

The primary purpose is to make sure a union voice is heard in a formal ALP National Inquiry into infrastructure financing, and to strongly assert our case within the ACTU itself.

Education of union officers, activists and members is also a major priority.

A 32-page booklet and 4-page summary were published in June 2005. Hard copies are available from the National Office.

You can download the pdf file of the 32-page booklet by following the link below. The file is 1.56 MB, and takes only a couple of minutes to download with a broadband connection.
