RTBU-PacNat Member's Union Collective Agreement 2006 Update Newsflash! 7107 November 2006Update on Status of Agreements:
Following the RTBU delegate conference last month agreement was reached 'in principle' on all seven Business Division Agreements. Both the RTBU and the company had hoped that the necessary procedural matters which need to be attended to would not take long to complete. Unfortunately this has not proved to be the case. There has been a number of ongoing meetings between the RTBU and Pacific National to complete the tidying up of documents (necessary to ensure the intent of the negotiated clauses is properly reflected in the wording) and for each party to gain their respective legal advice as to the legality of the content of all of the Agreements. As we are sure members can understand, the task of going through this process with all seven Agreements is large and time consuming, but a task which is absolutely necessary. It is the intention of the parties to ensure all steps are taken, to the extent possible, to avoid un-necessary disputes once these Agreements come into force. Your continued patience is appreciated and you are assured everyone concerned is doing all they can to conclude the procedural necessities, prior to releasing the final documents and taking the Agreements to the vote. Further Information: Members can expect to gain further information regarding their respective Agreement outcomes in the near future through future Newsletters and / or Business Division specific telephone hook ups with delegates. You are encouraged to speak with your local RTBU delegate if you have any questions regarding the Agreement affecting you. If you would like to receive future UCA Newsflashes to your personal home email please email Greg Harvey at gharvey@rtbu-nat.asn.au with your name, your location, your classification and your email address and you will be added to the email list.
